chicken and cheese flour taquitos
kicked up pineapple bread pudding

We'll be eatin good!!! I also got ingredients to try a couple more new recipes whenever we eat all that!!!

So yummy!!! A huge jar of homemade pico de gallo....:)

chopped tomatoes
red onion
lime juice
salt & pepper

So excited to spend the weekend with Eric and Asher.....yesterday, Asher was a mean boy.....

He has been an absolute angel today....between cooking and trying new recipes and him being the sweetest has been really wonderful!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Jammin to Journey......

Happy Friday!!! You know it's going to be a wonderful day when you get started jamming to Journey at 8:30am!!!......They are playing on Today's Friday Summer Concert Series!!!!

Not sure what we are doing this weekend.....maybe a whole lot of nadda, but I want to try this recipe tonight....I think my man will love them.....:)

  • 2 packages Sliced Bacon

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts

  • 1 jar Sliced Jalapeno Peppers

  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Pepper

  • A package of chicken breasts, 2 packages of bacon, 1 jar of jalapeno peppers, and some lemon pepper. That is it!
You cut the chicken breasts up into small chunks and set them aside. Pour out some of the jalapeno juice and the slices into the same bowl so the chicken soaks up some of the juice.
Slice the bacon in half and use one piece of bacon per roll up.
Place one piece of chicken on the end of the bacon. Then add a pepper slice. Then another piece of chicken. Then – as the name implies – roll them up.
Place them on a cookie sheet. Sprinkle lemon pepper over them.
Bake in the oven at 350-375 for about 45 minutes, turning them half way through the cooking process.

    Don't they sound yummy???

    Busch Gardens

    Sesame Street....Oh...what to do first!?!
It was hot....playing in the water was necessary......

We spent a couple hours here....wasn't sure if we'd ever get to see the rest of the park.....but...rides were in our future.....

    Lots of cotton candy....

He had a blast.....we did too...we were all exhausted by the time we left though...

Today, Asher has been rotten to the core.....very grumpy and just a mean pleasing him....hopefully, I will get my sweet boy back tomorrow.....

This morning we went to church.....great service. I think I'm going to start volunteering to rock babies while the MOPPS meetings are held. I miss working in the infant room at First Baptist in NC. After church, Eric mowed the lawn and I folded laundry. I kept checking out the window to make sure he was still mowing and not dead....really....I did....After he got done mowing, he took Asher to swim at the Y.....he is a wonderful man.....:) I watched a couple episodes of Ancient Aliens on the History Channel while they were gone.....MIND BLOWING!!!

Anyway, last night we finished off all of our dips and I hard-pressured Eric into making pizzas today.....the first pic I took of him was a little off......
    I wish I could make a smile-frown..... RETAKE!!!

This weekend has been so relaxing.....I feel like I'm recharged!

    A dip kind of weekend...

So, last night was really fun. Eric came home early and we watched Arthur and our dvr'd episode of True Blood.....we drank some beer....ate lots of Friday night!
It was cute. It makes me want to watch the original with Dudley Moore....

Anyway.....this morning we went to the Y for a couple hours. Then to the store to grab ingredients to make this dip for tonight! Reuben Dip! We got a huge loaf of rye bread too!
I've never made it before, so hopefully it's good....isn't anything with sauerkraut and corned beef good though??? :)

Asher painted for awhile and now he's napping.....Eric is napping on the couch....heck...I might take a nap...

Tonight will probably be a repeat of last night.....which sounds perfectly perfect to me!....We plan to watch Limitless with Bradley Cooper....

Off to take a little cat nap!..zzzzzzzzzzz

    This little guy....

Has been wired all week!!! I think most of it is because it's been too hot to play outside. I have been trying to keep him busy with indoor activities.....but it has been challenging....

So on Wednesday we went to Chick-fil-a and ate lunch, listened to a bible story and did a project....then we headed to the library. Yesterday, was a little crazy. We went to the Y in the morning and then I had volunteered to help Big Brothers & Big Sisters during a concert they have in Old Town Petersburg. It was miserable. So hot. People were grumpy and drunk. Oh well. I thought it would be a good way to find out more about the charity and talk to one of the reps about being a Big Sister while I volunteered my time. Anyway.......A new friend brought me a ton of tomatoes from her garden and they are awesome!!!! I have been eating toasted tomato sandwiches for every meal for 2 1/2 days now...yum..yum!

Eric has been working so hard this week. My SuperMan.
Anyway, it is way too hot to attempt to grill and hang out on the deck this, I made a ton of yummy snacks and dips to munch on and there are several movies on demand to watch....I'm really excited to spend time just chillin with my boys.....:) Here are some of things I made.....
    Yummy in my tummy!!!

    Have a great weekend!!!

    Busy Days....

Yesterday, Joanie persuaded me to do 2 things....go running in the crazy heat and coming over for a playdate for the kids and us.....gosh, I'm gonna miss that girl!! Came home to a great meal too, because I used my crockpot and one of the sauce packets that my girl Heather sent me from Germany. It was pretty yummy.

Today, I took Asher to the movie theater to see Marmaduke. He really liked it. Was going to see Yogi Bear, but my Mom told me that morning that he had already seen it at her house. Marmaduke was really cute. Afterwards, we went to Chick-fil-a and then to Walmart. By the time we came home, Asher was almost a zombie, he was so tired. I put him down for a nap and put on my trash tv that I dvr'd from last night and biked my way to a severe sweat......:)

My husband is working his booty off this week. And, getting up very early every day....not sure what I'll make for dinner....need to get started though!!
