I gotta say...I was pretty impressed I accomplished this.....when I came home, I got a big pat on the back from hubby too.....man that felt good....
Anyway, Eric had a race today!!!! The Army 10 Miler in Washington D.C.!!! We headed up yesterday after I got showered and a quick snack We went straight to the Expo to get Eric's packet info. Then, headed to the Hard Rock for an early dinner......we brought Asher plenty of projects to do...and it helped that he was hungry....he was really impressed with the Hard Rock experience....he kept saying, "Rock and Roll!"....we got to really sit and enjoy our food along with the atmosphere.....it was nice to be able to go to dinner with him and take our time......
This is what we ordered:
Me: I order the same thing everytime.....it is the best burger I have ever had.....
Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger
Basted with our special Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and smothered with caramelized onions. Topped with crisp seasoned bacon and melted Cheddar cheese. Served with fries....I also had a really good margarita....YUM!!!
Eric:
Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese
A grilled chicken breast tops off twisted Cavatappi pasta tossed in a lightly spiced 3-cheese sauce, with garlic, roasted red peppers and romano parsley bread crumbs. Served with a side of garlic toast. He got a ceasar salad on the side too.
Asher:
Chicken Tenders
Crisp fried chicken served with honey mustard sauce. Served with french fries.
All of us pretty much licked our plates clean....we were crazy hungry.....
After we collected ourselves.....we headed to the Hyatt Regency on Capital Hill......Eric and I watched some football (Oklahoma got beat down!) while Asher watched some movies on Eric's laptop.....he had a blast last night....jumping on the bed....playing with his playdough and watching movies....
We all fell asleep pretty early....Eric had to wake up at 5:30 am to catch the Metro and head to the Pentagon to the race start.... I left the hotel at 7:45 am to make sure I could get to the Capital Building to see the entire race......Asher and I were both cheering hard!
This guy had to be the winner....everyone was behind him by at least 10 - 15 minutes!! He was sooo tiny!!! And fast!!!
Then, we saw him.....our HERO!!!
He did great!!! So proud!!!
Here are some other great pics.....
Some of these pics are not good...Eric was taking them on his phone....Anyway, it was a great weekend...we are back home now....Eric got his Army Sustainment Magazine in the mail (he wrote an article in it)...we are watching football...Cleveland Browns are winning again New Orleans Saints!!!!....Dominoes pizza is being devoured....we have netflix movies for later....LIFE IS GOOD!!!
