Long Weekend

Eric got Thursday off. He gets Monday off for Columbus Day too! Woohoo! Yesterday, I made a ton of stuff to snack on all weekend...including this yummy adult beverage.....

Winter Sangria

2 oranges - 1 juiced, 1 sliced
2 lemons - 1 juiced, 1 sliced
6 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup triple sec
1/4 cup sugar
1 bottle of cheap red wine

Refridgerate for at least 6 - 8 hours.....so yummy....I had a glass yesteday while Asher played outside....

Every once in awhile I change it up and we play in the front yard.....isn't that a cheese eatin grin???

We are enjoying the day so far....We spent a long time at the Y this morning....Eric took Asher swimming and we both got a great workout....today/tonight, we are watching football, listening to a couple new albums Eric downloaded from ITUNES (Adele, Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies) and playing rummy.....fun Saturday night! We are not getting Jillian (babysitter, Jessica's sister...she is now in college) this weekend. We have a couple Marine Corps Balls coming up and a cruise....plus Christmas...football, chips, dip, music, brewskies and cards at home will have to do for this weekend! Have a good one!

Candles

It was a productive day....I mowed the lawn....although, I do believe that our mower hates me. I pretty much injure myself every time I mow. Today, I took a rock to the head and to my vaginal area.....not good....thankfully, I don't think anyone saw me kick "nothing" and cuss my lungs out. Another thing I wanted to do today was make some candles. I found all my supplies inside the shed and went to work!

I would like to tell you that this little guy was my helper, but he just made me really nervous about the whole project.....

I didn't do as many as I wanted to, but look at all these amazing smell-good candles!!! The are all Christmas Cookie and Pumpkin Spice scents.....yum!!!

Then, while I cleaned up the mess and put everything back into the shed, this wired monkey did some jumping!

Ravioli

Is really messy....but delicious....

Eric started his a class tonight, so we will be dining without him. Although I will miss his company so much, I am looking forward to watching my dvr'd episode of Gossip Girl after Asher takes a bath....

Date Night

Last night Eric and I got Jillian (babysitter) to come over and play with Asher while we went to listen to music and drink some adult beverages.....so much fun!
