9 weeks

I am pretty sure that I am 9 weeks as of today or yesterday. We'll know for sure on Tuesday though. Here is what's happening:

1.  Sooo tired that it takes actual effort to keep my eyelids open.
2.  Dizzy. Dizzy. Dizzy. On and off throughout the day. Especially in the morning.
3.  The hormones are deffinitely surging.....trying to not let them get the best of me.
4.  Hair seems to be falling out more. Hormones maybe? Will check with the Dr. on Tues.
5.  Craving fruit. I have never ate so much fruit in my life. Tastes like candy.
6.  Although, I have only gained 4-5lbs....it feels like I have gained 15lbs. Bloating = Check
7.  Frustrated with my lack of energy. Mentally I need to exercise. Physically my body feels like a slug. Arms and legs feel like weights themselves. This has made me cry this week....more than a couple times. Boo.

On the positive....the baby is as big as an olive. And, this week our baby will be developing his pee pee or her woo hoo. The heartbeat can now be heard by a doppler device.

Today, is supposed to be extremely hot. Taking Asher and myself to the Y, then to the library. Will pick up some beer for Eric. Asher has been playing outside a lot this week, but I might have to put on a movie or pull out some special "rain-day activities" for today. Just too hot to be outside. Pizza is what's for dinner tonight. I am excited to spend time with Eric.

Have a great weekend!

kiss...kiss...

Yesterday, I took Asher to the movie theater. Regal Cinemas has $1 kids movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am. The line was longer than I've ever seen it and we had to wait for awhile. We were behind 2 women that were lets just say "older" and "bigger".....One of them turned to Asher and asked how he was doing today and smiled. With a scowl look on his face....he said, "You are too big. I can't see anything with you in the way!"......I grabbed his cheeks and looked into his face and scolded him for a straight 30 seconds while we were in line. Of course, I made him apologize....but needless to say I was mortified. After I apologized an excessive amount, I spent about 15 minutes talking their ears off......because that's what I do......Anyway, Happy Feet 2 was adorable and we both had a lot of fun. Asher and I got take-out for lunch and ended up going to the Y later in the evening. Daddy brought home presents....a basketball and net for Asher's room and a new pandora charm for me! What a guy!!!

Today, I have been in a rather strange (but good) mood. Blame it on the hormones!!!
And....I made zucchini bread.....

What's up ducks???

Yesterday, I felt super dizzy in the morning. Once I felt up to it, we went to the Y. I pedaled on the bike for about 40 minutes and barely had the energy to complete that. Afterwards, I took Asher to go feed the ducks by the pond.
After the ducks had lunch....we went home and had some too. It was such a beautiful day out. Asher and I stayed outside almost the entire day. He played with rocks, sticks and bugs while I flipped through some magazines. It was a good day. I took a belly shot......
Gettin bigger....xoxo

A packed weekend!

Friday was pretty low-key. We ate frozen pizza and layed like vegetables. Saturday, Eric ran the Chesty Puller 10k and got 5th overall and 1st in his age group. Asher and I were very proud. While Eric was running we played at the park nearby. I packed a backpack full of "special things" to keep him busy.

Yesterday, we went to HomeGoods, Whole foods and a farmers market. We came home with non-alcoholic beer for me, 2 6-packs of specialty beer for Eric, candy for Asher, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, apricots, plums and pears......I should be okay on fruit for this week. :) When we got home, Eric put some hamburgers on the grill. A hamburger finally sounds good again! I am still craving fruit (especially berries), but the thought of meat doesn't make me want to hurl anymore. That hamburger was delicious!
He also grilled me up some bbq shrimp.....bacon for our burgers.....:)
Here is a belly shot from Friday......it has gotten a little bigger due to this weekend.....
I have gained 4-5 lbs.

Happy Monday!!!

My "P"

Asher yells, "Daddy!!! You have my "P" on your head!!!"......get it??? Eric and I got a pretty good laugh!!

These past couple of days have been HOT outside. I have been really finding it hard to muster up the energy to workout, but Asher helps get me going. He loves playing at the Y, so it motivates me to go there.

My food aversions and cravings have been waaaaay surprising to me. I crave raw veggies, fruits (especially berries), yogurt and icecream. I have been eating peanut butter and hummus to get some extra protein. Bread is always good too. Last night, I tried one of Asher's chicken nuggets and had to spit it out. Most meat sounds pretty awful right now. Anything cooked sounds yuck. Weird, huh???....The thought of eating a hamburger, hotdog, chicken tenders sounds yucky.....although, a slice of pizza with some raw broccoli on side or anything mexican sounds pretty good.....anyway, enough about food already.....

Here are some pics from the past couple days.....

Happy Father's Day!

It has been a wonderful weekend!

Friday, I took Eric to Shockhoe Bottom and we walked around for awhile. He drank some beers and got to bet on some horses. After I had a few O'Douls, we headed to a new Mexican restaurant that we have been wanting to try. Don Pepe is delicious!!! The nugget in my belly was very happy!

Saturday was all about lounging. I didn't feel good in the morning, but I plunged through an easy workout at the Y anyway. We came home and watched tv and ate take-out pizza.

This morning, Eric ran and mowed the lawn. We then headed to Dick's and REI. Eric got a camelbak for his long runs. While he and Asher were looking at sporting goods, I walked over to HomeGoods and shopped. I found some really unique non-alcoholic beverages that I purchased. Pretty excited about them. After our little shopping trip, we headed to the Squirrels game. Asher was so excited. I have to admit, I wish I would have been able to hang a little longer than we did. I was feeling so sick about an hour into the game. I was sure I was going to vomit, pass out, fall asleep or sweat to death. About an hour after we left I felt like new again though. Eric is watching golf, drinking beer and reading a running magazine.....Asher is bathed and watching some toons.....I am in sweats with one of my unique non-alcoholic beverages.....every couple minutes I look over at Eric with googly eyes.....and realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband that is an AMAZING daddy!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
